Growing up in Huntington, New York, I was naturally drawn to animals, whether that be an injured bird or stray cat in need of help. I would be there for them. This fascination with animals developed into a lifelong calling, leading me to Cornell University, where I obtained my undergraduate degree in Animal Science and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. While there, I was inducted into Phi Zeta Veterinary Honor Society, as well as was awarded the ACVIM student award for clinical excellence in internal medicine.

Following graduation, I completed my rotating internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City and spent the next three years in general medicine, honing my surgical expertise, and growing personally and professionally.

Internal medicine is of particular interest to me, as I find the complexity of those cases to be invigorating and a natural outlet to my innate need to solve difficult puzzles. As someone who feels at home with such trying cases, it is very rewarding to be able to provide solutions to families, who may otherwise be facing situations that seem hopeless, with compassion and confidence. WSVC’s commitment to providing personalized care, with an emphasis on building lasting relationships with animals and the people who love them, resonates deeply with my own values and interests.

It is this drive toward meaningful complexity that led to me calling NYC my home. From the countless restaurants, parks, and variety of pets (and their owners), this is a city full of surprises. But that doesn’t stop me from braving the wilds outside of the city, with my husband Mark, to camp, hike, and explore the world from the American Southwest to Central America. At home, we are kept in check by our two kitties, Savannah and Niko, each as adorable as they are troublesome.
