My love for animals was well established early on in life, as I grew up with everything from dogs, cats, hamsters, lizards, birds, and horses. It wasn’t until I took a class in ornithology that I realized I wanted to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Yes, the 5 am bird-watching field trips were something I looked forward to; I even still have some of the 100 or so bird calls memorized!
Though I’ve traveled all over, I am a New Yorker at heart and was born right here in the Big Apple. I received my BA in Psychology from Bucknell University, but when the economic crash in 2009 sidelined my career track in finance, I decided to do a post-back pre-vet program at Columbia and later earned my Veterinary Medical Degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
I was initially drawn to Worth Street Vet after hearing such positive feedback from clients who had relocated and lamented the fact that they had to switch vets. Upon my first visit to WSVC, I was struck by how hard the entire staff worked toward creating a warm and inviting environment for clients and their pets. I look forward to creating and fostering new relationships at Worth Street Vet and find the healing aspect of veterinary medicine richly rewarding. Nothing fills my heart more than seeing a worried pet parent breathe a sigh of relief when their pet has made a full recovery.
Though I enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine, I have a particular interest in surgery, dentistry, emergency medicine, rehabilitation, and radiology. When I’m not at work, you can find me baking treats for my co-workers, traveling, working out, taking French language lessons, watching horror movies, or just hanging out with my boyfriend and our spicy cat, Lucifer.
